| We just dropped off Mom, Dad, and Chris at the airport. It was so wonderful to have them here. They arrived on Thursday evening, and Errol and I had planned a great evening with them: supper at Grimaldi's and a stroll in Old Town for gelato. However, it didn't quite work out when there was a 45 minute wait at Grimaldi's and the gelato bar had closed at six. I think they liked the pizza at Nello's though.
Yesterday Lois spent the day at Petsmart doggie day care; and although her report card stated that she spent the majority of the day adjusting to her new environment, we think that it was a good decision for her to get her exersice during the day. I'm not sure if the Thomsens would have enjoyed standing in the cold at the dog park.
Mom and Dad felt the need to whip Errol and my apartment into shape, and we appreciate it a lot. They hung my diplomas, changed burned out lightbulbs, took old clothes to Goodwill, and tried to fix our heater. Mom really wanted to bake us cookies too, but sadly, our cupboards aren't as well-stocked as theirs.
We gave them a tour of ASU, and they met Veronica and Steven during the visit to my office. They were very impressed with Wong's Place for lunch. That place amazes me everytime.
In the evening we took Chris out for his 21st birthday. Four Peaks was packed, but we had better luck at Casey Moore's. Ian joined us, and I think Chris enjoyed his Tom Collins.
Errol and I are going to run to library before I work at one. I love that place.

| We just got back from a lovely afternoon date. Errol took me to see Holiday, and I really enjoyed it. Kate Winslet is one of my favorites, and Jack Black is always entertaining. Cameron Diaz was for the most part very annoying, and her clothes were awful. Who knew there were so many horrid winter coats? It made me want to go back to England and spend Christmas on the coutryside.
Errol's working tonight at Barnes and Noble, and I'll go to Harry and David soon. I hope it's not too busy.

| Have come to the conclusion that our apartment is falling apart. Several of the outlets have stopped working, and now the garbage disposal is included in the list of broken things. I'm hoping that some miracle man will show up and will be able to fix all the wiring without taking apart the house. The good news is that the Christmas tree lights are still sparkling sweetly.
Errol and I had big plans yesterday for my day off, but it didn't go the best. It looks like that we won't get our evening stroll on Mill this year either. :(
We're currently trying to figure out how we're going to transport my parents and brother and all their luggage from the airport. Dad has confirmed that they are not traveling light so we'll have to take two cars to get everyone and everything. I'm crossing my fingers that J.Crew will let me go an hour early to assist with the transport.
I'm at Harry and David for only three hours and then to J.Crew till close. Four more days!

| Well, it's been awhile, but I've been pretty productive.
On December 5, I defended my honors thesis successfully. "From Tango to Heather: An Examination of Homosexual Representations in Modern Picture Books" is complete. Yay! I was very happy that Teddy and Kate made the journey to the valley of the sun to support me.
Besides from that it's basically been work work, work, work. Harry and David is a madhouse this time of year, and I'm so happy that there are only a few more fourteen hour days ahead.
Today I have the day off from everything, and so far it's been wonderful. I've been wrapping presents and addressing Christmas card envelopes. Errol and I are supposed to go out for breakfast, but it looks like it will be more like a lunch date.
